Merry Christmas
I just listened to my all-time favorite Christmas Carol, The Little Drummer Boy on you tube. there's many different versions up.
It's, or they're making me tear up. I love that song - it's one of the few songs I can relate to (poor boy), and I love the drums in it. Speaking of drums - my youngest son's girlfriend bought him a drumset for Christmas. It's already set up, just needs a high-hat. My middle son and I went in halves on two cymbals from a pawn-shop. Used, but good quality - both cymbals only cost $40 all together. He let me play the drums today. First time I'v ever - EVER - played the drums. It was sooooo much FUN! Only played for a few minutes (hands and elbows) but it was hell-a fun. Ever since I was a little girl I've loved percussion (turn the beat around...) That's why soul music and latino music are my favorite - they use the rhythms Oh, Yeah, drums.
