(no subject)
Me and Matthew went to Eldormere's coronation this weekend. Nigel and Adrielle were being Crowned and we had promised. :)
We get there, go through court and coronation and immediately following that was a lot of fighting. I think I was on the field longest of anyone since I wasnt feeling very tired. Matthew told me that it looked like I went through about ten opponents before I retired for a short break. I felt I fought really well, especially since I was using a short little twohanded sword with no thrusting tips. :)
After that it was a Pas de Armes. I felt we did quite well in it as well. Loads of smiles and fun everywhere it seemed. Yay.
Overall it was good. Great reception, fun fighting, met some old old friends and met quite a few new ones. Eldormerians seem very open and friendly. I would not be surprised if Drachenwald and Eldormere would get along absurdly well.
The boring thing was that it was a one day event again *sigh* so there was not much room for socializing and partying. :(
Overall though I will definately travel back there.
ADD: I felt like my fighting was better and crisper this time around. While my knee is still feeling somewhat sore, it is much better since last week and the curve points upwards. Great! Maybe soon I can use mobility quite a bit more in my fights. :P
