(no subject)

Graduation is over, we're done with high school forever. Which you know big momentous milestone in life and really I don't feel any different. I'm not sure Nick does either but at least he got to give his valedictorian speech with only a few hellmouth issues.

Only here would we have to have graduation wondering if we're going to be killed horribly the whole time. I wasn't sitting anywhere near Nick because Baker and Woods get sat just about as far apart as possible when you're arranged alphabetically. But I'm sure he was just as tense as I was.

Those weird rabbits and toads were still there. I think someone tried to get rid of them because there was less than I saw last time but you'd think they were turned on by sateen graduation gowns because they kept showing up and the toads would jump into laps and then people would jump up and down and yell. I think it was kind of annoying the mayor who was trying to give us his big "inspirational" speech and kept getting interrupted. Which since his inspiration sort of broke down to "rock the vote, get involved, don't be slackers oh and vote republican" I was kind of tuning it out anyway.

Then Nick got to give his speech and things were kind of quiet which we didn't find out why until we got called up for diplomas and we found out that demonic rabbits like parchment and they were all chewed apart. Which I guess better them than us, but the practiced grab the diploma and handshake thing looked more like a double handshake without diplomas.

Anyway it's over and this weekend we're leaving for Europe. Theresa's parents are still dragging their feet on letting her go which could be bad because I have a feeling she's going no matter what they say on the subject. She hasn't told Nick because she kind of wants to fight this out with her parents alone and she knows Nick would try to help. I'm kind of torn on the matter, but the last she talked about it there seemed to be signs of weakening on their end. They weren't saying no anymore they were saying well if we let you go. Which is a sign they're gonna cave hopefully.

I suppose I should actually think about packing now, it will make the whole trip more real to me hopefully.
