The dance was terrible, not all of it, I mean I loved being there with Amber she looked so..um wow. But Natalia sang until she caught on fire and there was nothing anyone could do, she just burned up so fast.
I think that's what almost happened to Nick the other night when I interrupted him singing. If I hadn't been there he could have gone up in flame too. But in kind of a weird way it helped because he was able to figure out that he really wanted to stay and not go away to college.
We're going to rent a house as soon as school is out and stay here. I want to talk to Amber about it soon, see what she's planning. Surprisingly Nick's parents were ok with us staying. I think they were going to miss Nick a lot more than they thought.
I thought for sure if anyone was going to sing and go up in flame it would be me, but I don't know Avalon seems to have changed things. I've told a lot of embarrasing stuff in song but no flames yet. Of course it's not like it's done yet.
I took my red cross courses and I'm certified in CPR and first aid now. I signed up for summer classes to be an emt1 in the accelerated class that goes straight into emt2. So by July I can be doing ride alongs with the rescue squad. Not surprisingly there are openings with the ambulance crews and as long as I pass classes I'm guaranteed a spot. As desperate as they are I may get a spot even if I don't pass the classes.
Nick can take the classes as part of his college workload so I don't know if he's going to take the summer courses with me or wait till fall term. If he doesn't it'll be weird being me doing schoolwork and him not, weird and a first.
