The Endgame NPC numbers are pretty insane these days. At one point we had three separate groups of field pain out at once, each numbering 8 or more. One group would fight on one side of the tavern, the second group had the other, and the third group would wait in the wings resetting and waiting for their turn to cycle in.

I enjoyed the Chaos Vortices, but perhaps a bit less than some. They were an interesting gimmick, but they were clearly a gimmick, and the novelty wore thin on me a bit faster than it did on some others. It did provide an interesting way to go easy on some people without the guilt of feeling like you were playing the card wrong.

This past Madrigal was fairly brutal on the NPC's. Several staff people have commented about how they enjoyed the break they got from running their normal demanding plot lines, but Saturday night in particular couldn't have been very fun. I was lucky enough to have a poncho to wear, but the NPC's didn't have that kind of flexibility in terms of costuming.

A few times I did find myself noticing that all the people I was fighting at Madrigal as a PC were the same people I always fight at Endgame as an NPC.

I actually had a good time fighting in the rain. It meant that most of my clothes were soaked, but it was awesome to be the "hardcore" kid out in the rain again, fighting to get at the Eight VIPs.
