Pretty well settled in now! Our container full of cr*p arrived from the UK exactly 4 weeks after it left, and we have now mostly unpacked everything. A few trips to donate stuff to the Thrift store already, now we've had the time to properly sort it all.
Still waiting on the furniture warehouse to deliver our bedroom, the dining room and both living rooms, but we have the 2nd and 3rd beds done now, so no more sleeping on the floor for us :-)
Work is good - nice small company, plenty variety and they seem to like me as well, which is a bonus! Helen got a job offer today at the SPCA (Animal Shelter), and goes for work experience tomorrow to see if she likes it or not.
Of course, have bought a big lawn tractor, big V8 Muscle Car and lots more toys too - will be getting the swimming pool ready this weekend (Bank holiday for us here), and off to a Tattoo Festival as well, to see what the local artists are like.
Weather is generally really nice - from the lovely snow and the scenery it creates, to the sunny days and golden beaches 30mins from our door.
Helen saw our first Humming Bird of the season yesterday in the garden, plus there's plenty of colourful Blue Jays, Gold Finches, Woodpeckers etc.
And not to forget Tippy the Jack Russell/Dachsund cross that we got from the rescue centre the week after we arrived! (Don't tell the cats back in the UK!!)
Think that covers it in a nutshell - we are still soooo relaxed here, the pace of life suits us perfectly!
