How To Use Libra Tampons

Follow our step by step instructions for using a tampon.

Libra tampons come in a range of sizes. The sizes relate to absorbancy to suit menstrual flow. Start with the small sizes if you're using tampons for the first time.

Inserting A Tampon

Before you insert a tampon it helps to know where it has to go. Place a mirror between your legs and have a look. Find your labia (the lips or folds of skin, which cover the enrance to your urinary opening and your vagina). Then gently open it with your finger and find the entrance to your vagina. This is where the tampon will go.

Wash your hands thoroughly before and after using a tampon.

Remove the wrapper and unwind the string.

Hold the tampon at the string end and get in a comfortab;e position.(e.g stand with one foot on the toilet, edge of bathtub or squat).

Relax your vagina. A tight vagina will resist the tampon. Take a deep breath, breathe out, and gently push the tampon in as your muscles relax, slanting it towards your lower back. Dont try and push it straight up. Rotate it gently through the muscles of the vaginal opening and slide into place.

Insert the tampon to the full length of your finger with the string outside the body. There should be no pressure or discomfort. If there is, the tampon isnt inserted properly. Relax and push the tampon in further at the same angle, or simply draw it out and start again with a fresh tampon. You cant feel a tampon when it is inserted properly. A tampon can never go in too far as the entrance to teh uterus is too smal for a tampon to pass through.

Removing A Tampon

To remove a tampon, pull the strign at the same angle you inserted it.If there is resistance, you can leave it in a little longer, but it should never be left in overnight or for long perionds of time. If you can't find the string, you can reach it from a squatting position.

THAT my dearies is my first canberra memorabilia lol
