rambling aside.
My life is pretty uneventful at this point really.
I'm working to make money, I don't see the money because it's going to programs I'm doing, or the CD or lessons. Speaking of which the cd is going to happen the 26th, I'm very excited because I've been singing so well and perfecting all the repertoire from school. The only trouble spot I have is in Beau Soir, the fucking 7th leap from the f# to the G# I can never quite hear it in my head before I sing it. I mean, usually with a good amount of guessing I can get it but I want it to be 100%. Then there is Wohin, from Die Schone Mullerin. It's so goddamn fast and restrictive, everything else in that song cycle moves up and down and is much more melodic and has a much better line. Wohin is so fast too. Holy lord. Then I've been preparing and perfecting ALL the rep I got for next year too, especially the arias. Dalla Sua Pace is one of my best pieces right now, then En Fermant les yeux from Manon is going well, have most of the notes down and the french. Then Im wunderschonen monat mai, and aus meinen trenen shprisen (spelling), by Schumann. Adieu, and Nell...Deposuit Potentes by Bach and this shit is harddddd...It's all runs and because it's bach you can't really tell where it's going to end up it just kind of goes...places. But I must say I'm pretty pleased with the way things are going because the runs are really not that difficult which makes me really happy.
In other news, I hung out with Arnold again since like two years ago. It was pretty exhilirating, I picked him up and we just drove around rotterdam, guilderland, and schenectady and just caught up. Got some taco bell, got heartburn, ya! The works!
