I didn't think I could love Adrian Pasdar more than I did after Heroes and Profit, but I was wrong. I have acquired Mysterious Ways, and he's just lovely.
This is Declan Dunn, professor of Anthropology.
He teaches at the mysteriously mountainous Northern Oregon University.
He goes to great lengths to entertain his students.
It works. This guy is so eager to know whether or not he has a shot, he asks if Declan is married in front of the entire class.
Declan is fascinated with weird happenings. He wants to believe in the supernatural, but he's never really able to prove anything beyond a doubt.
This is Miranda, his partner in crime. She's a very cool lady, sort of a non-chipper Abby Sciuto.
This is Peggy, a psychiatrist and Declan's skeptic foil. She's sometimes sympathetic, sometimes annoying, depending on how heavily she's wielded as exposition catalyst or plot advancement tool.
This is Mole, Declan's dog. Well, Declan's acquaintance who follows him around most of the time.
Declan will go to all sorts of lengths to find the source of these strange and miraculous phenomena.
Unfortunately, these lengths do not seem to include nudity. Oh, well. That's what Profit is for.
Declan is really tough.
Oh, wait, no he's not. He was just telling Mole to stay.
What he is, though, is pretty. And lovable and scruffy. And smart and quirky and fun, an ordinary guy.
Definitely a change of pace from Nathan Petrelli and Jim Profit. And a very lovable one at that.
