Braintrust: Calling/Business Card Editing

As probably many of you know, I got a bunch of cards made up at VistaPrint a number of years ago through their 250 for "free" (something like $6 S&H) if you use one of their small selection of preset designs (which change) and allow them to print a reasonably subtle ad on the back of the card. The idea was to have something I could hand out at ( Read more... )

I just want to mention that if you want to be able to customize image & layout a little better, I really like iPrint. I started with VistaPrint & switched when I realized I could customize placement by the pixel for similar [price on iPrint. I use them for my professional business cards. I haven't done any comparison shopping lately so I have no idea if one is actually better/cheaper than the other anymore, but I thought I'd mention it.

I always used "calling card", but social card seems more accurate, especially considering that my calling cards almost *never* have a phone number.

The calling in calling card has nothing to do with telephones, actually (although I wonder if the word call for telephones derives from the call of paying a social visit which calling cards refer to). They were cards used when making a social call (as in showing up) to someone's residence. Hey, thanks. I used VistaPrint because I knew about them via word of mouth; their product was good enough that I don't object to using it again or advertising it, but I don't have strong loyalty to them either. I'm happy to look around. Is the print/paper quality similar?
