Ok, I'm putting this here because it wont' fit in the away message space...
Sox fans, get ready to cry:
1. Pedro is pretty much a Met. Its nearly official
2. Manny's pretty much gone...to the Mets
First, Pedro. This is new. As of last night, he was supposedly ready to re-sign. Just about an hour ago, the Mets guranteed a 4th year to the deal. He's looking for a pen at this point
Second, and bigger, Manny. I heard about this last night, but i didnt' want to believe it. Then i was told this morning it was gaining steam. About 11 am, it was "very close."
"Manny and Mientkievic to the Mets for Cliff Floyd and prospects."
I told some of you guys about it this morning and this afternoon, only after i was assured it was going to happen.
The only thing funny about this is that we all knew about it WAY before ESPN did. They now just put it up as a rumor. I guess we should feel lucky...
