I'm proud.

I just watched 'The Brotherhood of Poland, New Hampshire'. (It's a show on CBS for those of you who don't know.) This episode was about the town minister coming out. His best friends from childhood didn't except it. One of them said that he didn't except it because of trust. He had been lied to most of his life. The other one said it was a 'disease'and that it is a state of mind; that one could be cured of. It really upset me. I cried. The part that upset me the most was that there really are people out there that are so ignorant and bigoted. I think that people are born who they are and that over years they learn to discover it. Some people learn who they are at an early age, others later in life; but most of all the friend in those people never changes. They are who they have always been, it just takes time to discover that for themselves and to except it for themselves. I wish that people could see how amazing these people are, how much courage they have, how much pride. I am proud to say that I love every one of my gay friends. They are the bestest friends that I have.

I love you.
