Beating like a hammer
1. Dr. Horrible completely interferes with my appreciation of Metric’s “Help I’m Alive”
2. Who WANTS to be leader during tough times? Probably some altruistic person who wants to rise to the challenge. Which is probably not the same person that wants only power. Although I actually agreed with something Harper said: "Canadians expect us to get on with this." But really, was it necessary to travel across the street to the GG's house in a motorcade? I won't go too much more into politics here, except to say that both sides are being ridiculous. Those politicians are darned lucky that I don't have magical powers.
3. More importantly, where are all the Christmas lights?! And don't give me any of that PC garbage. Last week I was starting to get excited about Christmas because I was finally living in a neighbourhood where they would put up lights. I'm unimpressed and disappointed which has left me in a humbug mood. And I'd been feeling quite festive! If
a) I know you;
b) You own some sort of inhabitable structure; and
c) You don't have lights up by the end of this weekend,
then I'll be using those magical powers on you too.
4. I'm pretty sure I know someone who's birthday is today. It might be my Weirdo Pal from grade 5. Whosever it is, Happy Birthday!!
5. I'm completely sure that today is the 19th anniversary of the deaths of 14 engineering students. Slaughtered simply because they were female.
