(no subject)
I've been neglecting my lj recently. Not my friends page, just mine. It's almost like I forget to update. Or it's that my life is so boring, there's nothing to update about! Lol!
OH! Something random I've been meaning to post about. So I went to Chapters last Wednesday night after dinner with Erin and Philina. It was my old Chapters. I find it awkward to go back there, but I think it's all in my head. However, I go, it's fine, of course there's no one I know working...the only people I do still know are all day time, and this was evening. It was probably a lot of seasonal people. However, lo and behold who comes out of the cash office but Chris. Christian. As in the manager who I used to be utterly and completely in love with. I don't think he sees me or notices me or pretends not to, whatever. I don't care. I work very hard at not making eye contact. And I succeed during the two other times he comes near me. But talk about awkward. I didn't even think he worked there anymore. Last I knew he was in Oakville. I sort of assumed he was going to be the General Manager at the new Indigo they opened by my house. Which is good to know he's not, because now I can freely go there without fretting I'm going to see someone I know and have to make awkward conversation! I don't love the new Indigo as much as Chapters though, it's a little smaller and not as many books. But it's pretty good, so I'll continue to go there.
In other news, I went to Buffalo on the weekend with the girls from work and had a blast! There were 5 of us, me, Jess, Markie, Jody, and Sapna. We had a lot of fun and spend a TON of money! We basically spent ALL DAY on Saturday shopping. It was a marathon and was epic! Lol! I got a couple of gifts, but then some stuff for myself too. Got a couple of new tops, and a new bag from Urban Outfitters. We went to the Olive Garden for dinner, and IHOP for breakfast! Yum!!
Next week Hanukkah starts! Yay presents! My parents are buying me an espresso machine. I can't wait!! I still need to buy the majority of my gifts though. The only people done are Clara and Jeremy (my niece and nephew). But we're not celebrating until December 12th (that's when everyone can get together) so I have some time. I was going to send out Christmas cards too, but I have yet to finish them. I should get on that! Will do a separate card post in a few days.
