So, lately I've been toying with the idea of going to London in November. I have a week of vacation booked off because I originally wanted to go to Las Vegas. I had gotten a super cheap deal at the Mirage ($22 a night!!) and had booked it. There's no one to really go with me to Vegas though and while I could go alone, I'd rather go to London.
I miss it a lot. I miss my friends (who are pretty much forgetting me), I miss the food, I miss the sights, I miss the culture/atmosphere.
Tickets are obviously more expensive to London than to Las Vegas. And as much as I love Las Vegas (and believe me, I do) I love London more. And I think I'd be willing to spend the money on a ticket. Right now I can book a net fare with BA for $900. Or I can book a net fare with Transat for $800, but I'd so so so rather go with BA. Actually, I'd rather go with Air Canada, but they're more expensive.
Is this insane to think about?? Probably. The week of vacation would be unpaid (I'm out of paid vacation this year - well, actually I think I have two days I could use) but I could stay with a friend so that would be free. And I would eat cheap-ish. And I would try to limit my shopping and theatre excursions. I really just want to wander about, relish being in London. Maybe go to some museums. See friends.
I don't know. I really really really want to go though.
