I am embarking on a new life. Well, a new life goal. I am going to get in shape and lose lots and lots of weight (a la The Biggest Loser). Amanda has convinced me to train for a half marathon with her for next May. Tonight, I have started on a walk/run program which will help me build endurance (and I assume help me to lose weight) and start to prepare myself for long runs. So tonight I ran/walked for 30 minutes (coincidently while watching the Biggest Loser) and it felt good. Much better than just walking and I was dripping in sweat (yeah, it was not pretty) afterwards so I felt I did something right. It's also good because I spent the day eating. So it was good to exercise! I am sure I will keep you updated on my progress. :)
In other news, I also watched So You Think You Can Dance Canada, which is down to 14 people (ooh, reminds me I better pvr the results show since I won't be home tomorrow night). It was good! I still love Contemporary dancing the best, but I was sad at the team who got it this week. I hate Emanuel Sandhu. He bugs the shit out of me. He's SO fucking cocky. And his voice grates me. As does his double (triple?) axels in the air. The girl was okay (I don't know her name, and I think her background is some kind of hip hop dancing - she's definitely not a ballerina!) but both their feet were dirty. Gross. I know you're doing this barefoot, but wash your feet before you go out on stage!!
And finally I've been baking lots since I've come home. Well, lots for me. I made chocolate chip shortbread last week, and today I made a banana chocolate chip bread (we had bananas my mom told me to use up - and I don't eat plain bananas (can't stand them!)). On Friday I have to bake an apple pie, and Saturday I'm baking brownies. So much fun!!
