[Cinema] The Mortal Instrument

Santa ironia.

Oi? Corpo? ( Read more... )

I'm not sure. I don't like Alex for the role either. I get that Jonathan Christopher "Jace" Wayland/Morgenstern/Lightwood/Herondale is meant to have the face of an Angel but when I imagined him as I read the books, Jamie's face did not come up.

I see what you mean by makeup substituting his lack of 'manly' features but I feel that for a role like that... Jace's looks make up a part of his arrogance. Girls fall for him, on him, around him... you name it - they do it. And his cockiness (that he is well aware of what his looks and nature do for him) is part of the reason for that so I think it should be more natural.

Logan Lerman doesn't do it for me either. *shrugs* Maybe I'm just being picky and bitching. Cassie Claire said she was there for the script reading and Jamie blew her away with his amazing talent to relate to the character and to Lily. Who knows, maybe after I've seen him in action I'll change my mind. I could be preaching his name to the skies soon. I just hope the casting crew doesn't follow along with their casting pool of characters. I don't want to see this epic story ruined by the cast of Twilight. The world can't go through that again.

Watch this space, eh?
