Aric and I both did well with our eating today, but after dinner, we were both still hungry. That sucks. Neither of us cheated, and I think we both have drank enough water for the day. Still, it's hard to be happy when you're hungry. I just have to keep telling myself that this is good for me. It's not like I starved myself. I ate 1000 calories, so I'll survive. Besides, I think I could live on my fat rolls for weeks if I had to. Ugh.
One day down, another six to go.
Oh... I wanted to mention too, that we had a good religious experience yesterday. We haven't been to church for months, probably, because we're just so fed up with the medievalness of the Catholic church. So we've been talking for a long time about trying out the Episcopal church. There are many benefits to this -- first, I'll be one step closer to fulfilling my life-long dream of being British (JUST KIDDING! sort of...); second, the Episcopals let women become priests; third, they let their priests get married and have families; fourth, they aren't jackasses about gay people like the Catholic church is; and fifth, they're more liberal than the Catholic church in just about every way, but their services and practices are very close to the Catholic tradition which I grew up with, so I'm already comfortable with the service. Nice. The only thing that I will really, truly miss about the Catholic church is its hauntingly beautiful music. But I always have my Gather books that I can pull out when I jones for it. It's probably better to find a church you believe in and can agree with than to stick around in one you think is completely ridiculous and hypocritical just because you dig the music. The other thing that was nice about this church was that the people were so nice to us. We were introduced to tons of people, and it was so welcoming and open. Loved it. We're planning on going back this Sunday too.
Other than that... it was a pretty good, though tiring day. I was either fainty or tired most of the day from not eating like a pig. Hmph. Tomorrow, I hope, will be better.
Oh... and another thing about tomorrow -- Tuesday -- Aric is finally going to have his annual review at work, so everyone send GOOD thoughts his way for a GINORMOUS raise! We sure could use it! :0)
