Landlord not concerned

Jun 16, 2007 10:41

I talked to our landlord today, and he's not concerned about the bug thing. I asked if he'd had the place inspected for termites and other bugs, and he said yes. I don't have any reason to doubt him, as he's been very truthful and forthcoming about other things. So I am going to guess the bugs came in from outside -- at least, I'm going to guess that for now. But I still don't like it. I shall be vigilant in protecting my family and my books.

Other than that...

Today we're going to go to lunch together (me, Will and Aric), then I'm going to hang out with Janet. It should be fun. I really like Janet. We have so much in common -- from screwed up families to love of writing. (Don't those two go hand-in-hand?) Anyway... it'll be good to see her and catch up a bit.

I hope I can get some more work done on my diss tonight. I'm so close to being done with the analysis of 2 Henry IV that I can taste it. Then, on to the big dogs -- Henry V. And then, I'm just going to wrap it up. Of course, I'll need to revise it and make the introduction coherent. It's a big sloppy mess right now, and hell, I might have to cut a lot of shit out that I have right now -- the stuff on Paratexts. I don't know how it's all fitting together. But I do know that the analysis on 2H4 is good enough (I started to write "good" but "good enough" is probably closer to true). At least, I am happy with it. I actually think that getting a draft of this chapter done by July 3 is doable. (That's my goal because we're going to Indiana on July 3.) Ah -- it's good to have hope again about the diss. I just need to keep this up. 22 pages and counting...
