Have you ever had a song that you have heard just stick with you for ever? Recently the song stick in my head is California by Phantom Planet (if I'm not mistaken it's the theme to the O.C.). I think it's a great song. Just the sound of the song, the tonality of it makes you feel optimistic and youthful. I know its strange to say this about a song, but hey, give it a chance. Well this song got me thinking about myself (haha) and my persona and personality.
How do I appear to other people I do not know? Do they look at my un-fixed hair and think I am lazy. Do they look at my unshaven face and think I am a hippie? My face isn't that bad, but it's getting to bother me, so I'll probably take care of that. What about people who see my online persona as "The President"? Do they think I'm cocky? Or Crazy? Or just dumb? Who would want to be president? (i would) Albeit I am The President of Kitchen Republic and we do have one Senator, so to be honest, it's pretty legit, but do they get the joke? How far should I carry this persona?
Lots of questions. Only a few answers.
I want to lead and do good so badly that sometimes I think it actually hinders me. So the question is....
Would you follow me?
I'm sitting in the library as I write this, surrounded by bound collections of humanity's knowledge. How small that makes you feel, and how massive it makes life. I wonder if they'll be a book on me one day.
I have so many great things planned in my mind. My problem is getting them out of my head.
California here we come/right back where we started from.
-Yours Truly
Michael
