character info.
character name: Estellise Sidos Heurassein
canon & medium: Tales of Vesperia, game (x360)
age & species: 18, Human.
appearance: Spoilers, she's a princess.
timeline: Post-Game
background/history link: star stealing girl

personality:
Estelle is not necessarily a very complex person. She's a young woman who's lived in a golden cage, so to speak, for most of her life. As a resident of the castle, she was forbidden from leaving it's walls, most likely due to the fact that she was a direct descendant of the Child of the Full Moon. Because of her life behind the castle walls, Estelle has learned pretty much everything through the books and personal teachers she has. Books, to Estelle, are captivating worlds that need to be opened and read. Each one provides new information and experiences that she's never had the chance to feel. In a way, books have also caused her to yearn for the outside world more than anything. It is because of this that she is extremely naive and unaware of her surroundings.
When out and about, it's very easy to fool Estelle. She's quite intelligent, but her feelings are often easily hurt by misunderstandings or by her own proper upbringing. She's very innocent in many respects, and oftentimes can be found trying to make new friends. Estelle is the type of person who will run into danger to help others without realizing just how much danger she's getting herself into. Usually, that's when Yuri & the Gang come to save her, but when in the heat of battle she can totally take care of herself. Estelle, you see, knows how to fight. With a sword. She often wishes to not be a burden on anyone, and thus tries her best to hold her ground. Estelle's just an overall, extremely caring person who wants to learn more about the world and about herself through the course of her journeys and friendships.
More often than not, Estelle believes in people as soon as she meets them. She can see the potential in them and can empathize greatly with others. Although she's expressed disinterest in becoming a nurse, she still wishes to help others in any way she can. Whether it's through her healing artes or through the stories she weaves on the spot, Estelle wants to make others happy and well. Regardless of her abilities, she suffers often from a lack of confidence in herself. There are times she needs to be pushed in the right direction by her friends, they mean very much to her after all. She's grown up quite a bit after learning that she's the Child of the Full Moon and considered poison by some of the residents of Terca Lumireis.

abilities: ☪ Magical Abilities
☆ Estelle is an excellent healer, the best of the team! At the point I'm taking her, Estelle uses mana conversion to use her artes. She used to be an unstable magic user, as she would convert aer (life energy) of the world directly into magic, which was considered a very rare and unique gift. Now that their world has converted into the use of spirits, she works her magic around elements.
☆ She is very skilled in holy magic, whether it's healing or holy bursts of attack magic, she is an expert in this field.
☆ When not fighting, Estelle has a range of auxiliary (helping) magic. She can raise the effectiveness of her allies skills in battle.
☆ Beyond these, her skill list encompasses non-elemental skills as well. Such skills include Pow Hammer where Estelle summons a hammer to stun her enemies, as well as a few graceful sword and magic combination skills.

☪ Physical
☆ Trained by the Imperial Knight Drake Dropwart, Estelle is a fantastic swordwoman. She fights with a 1-handed sword and shield combination and is adept at piercing and parrying her enemies moves.
☆ Sometimes, she even uses a rod to attack in the same manner. Instead of slashing, she can totally bludgeon someone to death. Or something.
☆ Even so, Estelle is still just a normal young woman. Her stamina may not be the best in the world, so she'll have to take breaks every once in a while.

☪ Situational
☆ As a very studious young woman, Estelle has a range of intricate knowledge that she just doesn't really know how to apply to in real life situations. She's very intelligent and knowledgeable, but has no experience in what she knows.
☆ ...Even so, she's quite a quick learner. Estelle can cook and follow instructions very easily. She's very picky about giving creations their proper names. On this same note, she can think on her feet when it comes to creating stories on the spot.

any plans for your character here? Gonna bust in, gun in my hand, shooting wildly until I get what I want-

Estelle is very interested in going back home, as she's taken from post-game she's fought hard to protect her world. She's been given a second chance at life now that aer manipulation has been converted into mana and spirit use for Terca Lumireis (her world). Indeed, she's no longer considered the venomous Child of the Full Moon and in her journey across the lands, she's come to realize how beautiful and mysterious their planet truly is. She wants to set out on journeys and become a writer, although coming here is only another stepping stone in her quest it seems like. She hopes to meet some familiar faces here, and truth be told, Estelle loves magical and fantasy lands. I think she'll fit right in to willaknapp.

I think Estelle will try to make everyone's lives better on the caravan (as much as she possibly can, anyway.) She's already certainly worried about Grandore, as his job seems to be one of great responsibility and prestige, but sometime inside of her wonders why he does what he does and if there's anyway she can repay those who have helped her in this foreign land. In the end, Estelle's just looking to make friends as she learns and matures through her travels and experiences.

possessions:
☆ A rapier and shield, Estelle knows how to use a sword. More often than not, it's used in terms of self-defense.
☆ A bag full of books, a half-finished book is among them that she's been working for the past few weeks. She also has a small sketchbook.
☆ The clothes on her back, as well as a few gummies and items because Tales Of characters must always be prepared for battle. Even in their sleep.

samples.
sample journal entry: A journal... oh, just imagine the wonderful things that can be experienced on this journey. With this, I'll be able to annotate all of the strange and mysterious wonders that can be found here.

[ she pauses and sighs ] Although, I'm still a little worried about this, is this... really okay for us to be here? I... part of me can't shake the feeling that it's probably not very good omen to wake up somewhere strange and distant. It's a little scary, a-actually.

Oh! I can't think like that! I think we'll be just fine, we're all here together, are we? Let's try to make the best of this, surely we can trample any obstacle in front of us as long as we have the perseverance to succeed!

third-person sample: There was absolute wonder in her eyes as she took everything in, the sounds, the lights, and the beauty of the small, sleepy village Estelle found herself in. Was she dreaming? This certainly looked and felt like a dream. Certainly, this was something she would have concocted after staying up all night finishing a fairy-tale novel that she had so desperately fought to get her hands on. It was no secret that Estelle was fascinated with stories, and look at her now! She twirled slightly to look around her, she had suddenly dropped in on one!

Was it all a dream?
It was so hard to tell.

"E-Excuse me," Estelle spoke up, to no one in particular as she walked around the small, quaint village. The misty scene caused her own mind to feel a haze, as she desired more than nothing to pick up a book and cozily read it under a tree. "Could someone please tell me where I am?"

There was no response, naturally. Everyone seemed to be busy-bodying around her. She clasped her hands together shyly as she thought, what was she to do now?

"This must be a dream..." Estelle spoke. Once again, it was to no one but herself, "This surely must be. But then, why does it feel so... real? So alive?"

Like any adventurer, she knew the answer would not come by just standing idly, sticking out like a sore thumb in a sea full of people. She would have to explore and investigate this wonderous land.

She would soon do that with much haste, as she hoped she was not alone here.
