Alex has come home from Austria! Finally. I haven't seen him in 6 weeks or something.
He wrote me an SMS yesterday and asked me out to the cinema and a nice drink before that. He really makes me feel like a princess sometimes. It's so sweet.
So - we were out and saw Julie & Julia on the big screen. A nice movie and the story is really inspiring. Julie was a famous cook who translated many French recipes into English, so that American women had the chance to cook them as well. She died in 2004.
Nowadays we may have thousands of cooking books, but back then it was a little revolution I guess.
Julia is a really lovable (if may eccentric) woman who read Julies' book. Being in a midlife crisis she gave herself the goal to cook all of the over 500 dishes in just one year - and blog about it. She is a proper author nowadays.
Like I said - it was inspiring. In my believe each and everyone of us should have a goal for their lives. To keep going, to keep growing.
Don't stop learning. It's the worst that can ever happen.
Moreover it was so good to talk with Alex again. I still remember the first time we really talked to each other - and oh Dear, I thought this:
"After spending a week with Paddy and me, there are two opinions for him. Either this guy will be at the end of his rope because of us - in no time. Or he will stick with us until the end of our studies."
I'm happy it seems the second opinion is closer to reality.
Anyway. Still searching for my private goal. I believe I'm just lacking my muse. Because back in 2006 I had so many goals which I reached.
But everything will work out the way it's supposed to be.
