Shut up and explode

And another weekend has come to an end.
Still feeling somewhat... dunno. Far from perfect - but I guess it was a good one, nevertheless.
Although I spent most of my time studying for my Medieval Examination next month, but now I have at least the feeling of having done something useful.  <3

Moreover, I've come across this anime. Does anyone know about Kurozuka?
Woah. It takes a lot for a series - especially for an anime - to impress me. Because most stories just bore me, at least after a few episodes.
But this one has really caught my eye.
The opening is Systematic People by Wagdug Futuristic Unity - featured by Ryo of Maximum the Hormone. Really a good piece and quite fitting.
The animation is - wow. Very smooth. It's a lot of fun to watch it full-screen.
Moreover I want to get myself the OST somewhere. It has some fast techno stuff on it, but also quite, beautiful ones. Guess I could listen to it for hours.

The story is based on an old No play by the same name. In Japan of the Kamakura period, a monk seeks shelter from the night deep in the woods. He finds the house of a woman, who allows him to stay as long as he pleases - if he just simply won't peek inside her bedroom at the end of the house. But the monk does so anyway, just to find out that his hostess is a demon sucking the blood of humans.
Guess the No version is simply a typical Japanese yurei story. The anime version goes slightly different.

Kurou [Minamoto no Yoshitsune, which - for me as a student of Japanese history - makes it quite interesting] is fleeing from his brother who wishes to kill him. Together with his companion Benkei he comes across the house in the wood, yeah wait this sounds familiar, meets the demon lady - Kuromitsu - and falls in love with her immediately.
When the assassins of his brother return to kill him, Kurou is given the gift of immortality by Kuromitsu, who can't die herself.
Now the story continues over thousand years in which we find that a suspicious group is chasing Kuromitsu for her immortality and eventually taking her away forcefully from Kurou. Well, and our brave lover boy is going to bring her back no matter what. Fun. : D

I love stories which are set in the old Japan. Especially I've come to realize that I love Japanese ghost stories.
Like Mononke Hime, Mononoke and so on. And on the other hand I love this cyberpunk feeling I get. Like in Gankutsuou or Blame! or stuff.
Right now I'm watching episode 7 out of 12. Oh. Love love.

Okay, what else has happened?
Aozora-san came to visit me yesterday. We cooked Omu raisu together. Gosh, that's delicious! T////T
I really like her and we had very interesting talks in Japanese and German. It was quite the good training for me. But I have to learn more. Gawd, I suck! D: Always getting the odd mora wrong.
But we watched The Quizshow together with spiegelaugen . I love this dorama and can't wait to watch it completely. Yay for drama!

Okay guys. I have to get done with some learning before I'm off for University.
Stay tuned!
