I had to go to the main hospital today where I will be having this baby for my anti-d (Rhogam) and I am so glad that I recieve all my pregnancy care from the midwives at my local birth centre rather than having to go to the city every time because they are pants.

While we were talking about my pregnancy history and the complications I had with my son (Obstetric Cholestasis and Pre-E) she said that if I get to 41weeks or the OC starts to appear again (I am being monitored but everything's fine so far on the blood tests) then I should just book a section rather than bother with being induced. Now don't get me wrong I am terrified of having another induction, but more than that I am so scared that it'll fail and end in another section. I do not want another damned section, I'd rather be induced and give my body chance to do what it's made for. Besides I've already discussed going over my EDD with my usual midwife, who said that if everything is going well she'll let me go over 42weeks anyway. It just really infuriated me and I needed to rant! Seriously, do these city hospital Drs and midwives all believe that women are better off having unnessesary operations that come with so many risks? I wanted to kick her.

On the positive side I was delighted to find a poster up in her room advertising cloth nappies/diapers (no particular brand just spreading the word) showing some very cute fitteds on cute toddlers.

I'm 31 weeks today, and 9 weeks seems way too close! Even closer is the 6/7 weeks that it may be if I develope OC again (I am trying not to dwell on it though but be prepared at the same time) and need that induction. Scary huh? Hopefully everything is going well for all you :)
