Got back from montreal today. I found out one of my great uncles just made a family tree, biography/album type thing of my grandmas side of the family. It was interesting to learn about all the people involved. It's a large group of people, and there were a lot of strange ones. Actually now I'm pretty sure that most of my weirdness and dysfunction probably comes from my grandma on my dads side... because there were a lot of people on that side of the family that were fucked. I mean, I'm obviously the way I am as a result of numerous things, but after learning about the rest of the family, it seems to make more and more sense. It's cool knowing I'm part of such an interesting family, regardless of the fact that I don't know most of them, and rarely see the ones I know. Heritage is sweet.
I got to hear a bunch of stories from my dad about sketchy things, like a massacre at the bar that we all went too after the show on saturday. I got to see my aunt Line, (Leen), who is probably my favorite relative. It's weird seeing people with a family living the way they do in downtown Montreal, as opposed to here. There's a lot more life there. It's like you could raise a family and still feel alive, whereas here, I could only picture a stagnant, stale life while trying to raise a family. Going there is always a good experience. I can't wait to visit again, hopefully visit some more people.
Also, I got sick today....probably by some fucker on the train. Tabarnac.
