OK it's really been awhile since this page was updated. Been really busy especially the past 2 weeks trying to deal with all those deadlines. It's really quite a mad run. Dealing with 3 different assignments in a day isn't really something you'd want. But well it all goes down to "gd" time management.
Anyways at least all assignments have been cleared and it's now time to start studying and putting in effort to clear the exams once again. Shitty but what to do. sigh. But at least I had a good post exam day out with my jam mates (Kevin, Melvyn & Darrell) today. Went jamming in the afternoon and seriously, it's been a long while since I picked up my guitar. Hand is aching but it feels good.
Today's jam consisted of the following songs. (not in order)
- Welcome to the jungle
- Enter Sandman (Need more work)
- Sweet Child of Mine
- Don't Cry
- All the small things
- Dare you to move
- Smoke on the water
- I'll be there for you
- Chasing cars
- With or without you
- Where the streets have no name
- EMO song (Just some emo shit that we came up with)
- Techno song (Melvyn's techno effect on the bass just gave birth to this song)
- I don't love you
- High and Dry
- Creep
- Foxey Lady
Ok that's all I can remember. Ok seriously I am quite impressed with the list of songs that we played. Can ask Mr Tan to compile CD already. So who's Mr Tan? Tan Ku Ku (wait long long) understand!? OK some of you might have heard this shit from me before, but whatever.
Right so after jam session we headed over to the new Bugis shopping mall for dinner and an impromptu movie. Caught Shinjuku Incident starring Jackie Chan. In my opinion, it's good and tix @ $6 made it even better. The cinema company Filmgarde (same as Kallang Leisure Park), offers movies at $6 all day, everyday. It beats having to identify yourself as a student and pick those hours or days to catch a movie at student rates. Really big screen and I think the seats are damn spacious with ample leg room. Mind you I still had room to stretch my legs after putting my guitar and my pedaltrain in front of me. It's that spacious and it made it so convenient for cinema goers like me who have so much stuff to carry. Shiok. Headed over to the prata place opposite Parco for prata and teh. The aircon was so cold in the new shopping mall that I didn't even take notice of the mall's name. I just wanted to get out and have a hot drink. So overall it was a good day out with the mates. Can't wait for the next jam and movie outing with them again.
