First off I want to say thank you to everyone who friended me and thought that I have something interesting to say. I'll try to not disappoint.

Amanda and I went to South Beach on Saturday night. It had been a little chilly for Miami that night so not many people were out. We walked on the sidewalk, looking at the stores, looking for a restaurant that looked good for dinner and a drink. We ended up at Casa Larios because I promised Amanda a true Cuban dinner. After dinner and a few drinks we walked over to Jazid's, a great Jazz bar that has live jazz on the first floor and international dance music on the second floor. We sat in a dark booth, sharing a bottle of Merlot and listened to the quartet play. She kept moving in closer to me, talking low and whispering in my ear about the band, speaking music. It's so great to talk about music with someone who knows what they're talking about and she knows what she's talking about. There's something so sensual about a woman who can whisper lowly in my ear about melodies and hooks while slowly sipping her wine... never missing a beat. After the quartet ended their set we finished our wine and moved upstairs to dance. He body pressed against mine, the sensual sway of her hips, my hands on those hips guiding her to me. A night to remember.

Yesterday the kids, Arianna and Cristian-Antonio, who we call Antonio, came over. It was the first time that Amanda had met them. I know she was a little wary about meeting them but she seemed okay with them. My daughter is eight, almost nine, so I did worry whether or not she would accept Amanda. She's still young enough that when she meets someone she'll be shy and quiet, like she's deciding whether or not to say hi to you. She did give me that who is this? look but once she saw how Amanda was getting along with Antonio she warmed up to Amanda. Antonio is one and like all kids at that age he loves everyone he meets. It was adorable to see her play with them. I know she was scared but she hid it well, she didn't want the kids to realize that she was nervous. Arianna was adorable when she touched Amanda's hair and said that is was very pretty. I couldn't help but smile at Amanda when she looked up at me.

We took the kids out to the park, watched them play, pushed them on the swings and then took them to eat an early dinner before we dropped them off at my sisters. My sister met Amanda, briefly, and it seemed to go well. I'll have to call her to ask her what she thinks. I'm sure it'll be all good, my sister loves everyone. Never finds anything wrong with people, always looking for the good in them.

Amanda will be staying for Thanksgiving with my family, well only half my family but the people who I see on a weekly basis. My sister and her family and my kids. My parents are in Puerto Rico so they won't be there. It's going to be a nice holiday, can't wait.
