I've decided to move my journal to Dreamwidth. This is actually being written there and crossposted over.
I decided it was time for a new start. Besides, Dreamwidth is run by
synecdochic, a friend from my high-school fanfic days, and it's always good to support your friends. And, on a political level, the LJ servers have been moved to Russia, which has very different levels of privacy. Remember, the physical location of the server determines what laws govern that server's contents... so if there don't happen to be laws in Russia against the government hacking into your account and/or deleting it, you're shit out of luck. Now, I don't know what Russia's privacy laws are, but they already took over the Oval Office; I don't have any intent of giving them my journal too.
I'm not sure if I'm going to delete my LJ or not. It's very easy to import the contents from it to Dreamwidth, so all my back archives are there (assuming I want them; I don't always). But I do know that I probably won't post to it again, after this one.
