I recently read The Search for Sandeman by laytoncolt which is an NCIS / Dark Angel crossover, based on the fact that the characters Tony DiNozzo and Logan Cale are played by the same actor, Michael Weatherly, a seriously beautiful man. It's a fun story, but in it she messes with the time line a bit and says that after the events of the Dark Angel series,

I can really see that happeing, even if only as a one shot.

I have seen PaBurke's where Tonny is immortal and becomes eyes only, real short drabbles though

I had forgotten about that story. The highlander universe really is a superglue that can glom any other two fandoms together.

true... it can be used in so many wonderful ways... and Methos and Amanda can fit practically anywhere!

It's a double edged sword though: makes it incredibly easy to use and to stick them anywhere you want them, but that in turn makes it all the trickier to figure out the exactly right way to insert them.

Sort of like the Mark Twain quote: "The difference between the almost right word & the right word is really a large matter--it's the difference between the lightning bug and the lightning"
