A few days ago I wrote a snippet that added deamons from the His Dark Materials universe into the Highlander universe. But the more I think on it, the more problematic that particular fusion is for immortals

Cute little squitten! I am now incredibly curious, but I'll take your advice and not ask. I'm already having images of Kronos having as his daemon the attack bunny from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.You're right, in the books, discussing daemons was taboo. The primary character got away with it by being horrifyingly rude little girl. But there's no reason to believe she would ever question the idea of changing daemons. And yeah, it would be a lot like how homosexuality "just doesn't exist" in some times and places. And some poor people grow up thinking there must be something very wrong with themselves. And ow I really want a side story just about some one in some small town going through some major event and having their daemon changed, and having to deal with strange bigotry and finding a support group and discovering that it's not that strange after all
