prompt; fight: includes Rictor
Her back hit the wall and the bricks crumpled under the weight instantly, the ground shaking slightly as Rictor reacted. Five splits ran down the street, buildings quaking and lamp posts falling to the pavement as people started to panic. Brushing the cement dust from her shoulders and stepping forward on shaky ground. "Ah think y' got 'em darling."
The riot was completely disbanded. Planks and signs littering the street along with various debris. The FOH had vanished the moment the earth had started to shake. It wasn't them that caused any problems, everything had gone to plan where those anti-mutant demonstrators were concerned. It was the arrival of Warpath and Sage, two of the X-Men. "I don't think I did, Ruby. Wanna try again?"
The bulky Apache stood stock still; as if he hadn't just punched Rogue into a brick wall, while Sage stared stoically the two self-proclaimed siblings. Since Rogue had pulled Rictor onto her mothers team, since she'd teamed up with the seismic mover, they'd gotten a reputation as the more destructive duo. "Well, Ah think y' could up the juice a little darlin', that there building ain't gonna bring itself down."
Ric smirked slightly, and Rogue took to the air, putting both the X-Men on alert. She could see the ground shaking, and she internally applauded Rictor's control. The only building suffering any serious damage was the one scheduled for demolition. Neither Rogue nor Ric were fans of meaningless death; property destruction was something else though.
When Sage took a leap towards Ric, the ground crumbled, forcing her to dodge to the side. Warpath took another approach and this time, Rogue smacked him back. It wasn't often that Rogue was matched against someone with similar strength, and even Warpath wasn't as strong, but it was close. "Ruby, I need a lift!"
The road cracked all the way towards the building, Sage moving to Warpath's side as Rogue dived down and picked Rictor up and flew them both out of harms way. They stayed for a moment, watching the dust settle as the building littered the street, Warpath was hobbling away with Sage as support. With a shared smirk, and a laughing high five, Rogue took hold of Rictor and flew them back to base. Another mission that was mostly a success.
