So, according to The JKR Lady, why James gave the Invisibility Cloak to Dumbledore is going to be important.

I'm glad she told us this was going to be important; I don't like extra bits of information that are never going to be in the books, but I don't mind finding out that fill-in-the-blank is going to be significant later on. Yay, something new to speculate about. There's only so long you can argue "what side is Snape on" and "who is R.A.B." before you've heard it all.
