I had Chinese for lunch today - nothing unusual, except I nearly choked on my soda while reading the fortune:
"Forget yesterday. Tomorrow will be a golden day for you."
Well, I already forgot yesterday, so that piece is taken care of. The "tomorrow" piece is a little scary, considering tomorrow is the official first day back for the new school year for all staff district-wide. What exactly is a "golden" day? If it means I complete a paraprofessional schedule in less than an hour, get to give away the students that I want to give to the new member of the staff and finish decorating my classroom, then, we'll be good! If not . . . well, I'm anticipating a para schedule that I might as well be writing on the moon, hearing that the program I have is "closed," (emphasis on the quotes) but get hit with students that moved in and not do a thing in my room. We'll see what happens.
That's all for now - I need a nap. Perfect Sunday afternoon (okay, technically evening) activity.
