I cannot possibly say how relieved I am that the Christmas hols are in less than three weeks now. We can finally stop worrying about these rediculous love potions. According to Hugh, there was even at least one girl after me, which is of course absolutely silly; I can't possibly imagine why they even notice me when I spend most of my time with

I sent you guys up some food-- rather a lot of Sugar Quills from the last Hogsmeade visit. I should hope you'd trust food from me, at least. I'm feeling rather sorry for you and Sirius (and even James) right now; this whole thing is utterly ridiculous. Hopefully this will all die down before Christmas and I can stay here for part of the break.

I think people may be realizing that the love potion thing is not going to work, because several girls from varying houses and years cornered me today and demanded I set them up with Sirius. I slipped away while they were arguing about who was going to get set up; having decided to use strength in numbers to corner me, they had neglected consider they were all going after the same target. Why do they always choose me? Is it because I'm female and they think I'll be sympathetic? (Or it may be they're rather intimidated by guys, which is why you and James and Peter don't get accosted more often.)

Remus, I think you may have more than one cat to deal with shortly; Taliesin encountered Mouse yesterday when she slipped into the Ravenclaw dorms, and I think he's rather fond of her. So, er. Anybody want kittens?

Can't say I'm happy about this. I mean, one cute cat is bad enough, but a whole load of them, especially if they like me, is probably going to be fatal. At least, will be, if what everyone is telling me is true about girls and cats and things. Minda, that was just a theory, right? About Taliesin and Mouse having kittens?
