He had a feeling the Knight Bus would make - well, if not both of them, then at least Sirius - feel queasy, but from James's neighborhood, there was nothing within walking distance; everything in these parts of the neighborhood was respectable, and he didn't trust himself to Apparate very far, let alone Side-Along. "Let us book ourselves a room befitting two young bachelors of status," he started grandly. "I'm sure you know of a few establishme - but then they'd be bound to recognize us, now wouldn't they? And we can't have the situation getting any worse."
He didn't think over the situation for very long, and a swig of liquor helped jog his creativity. "Then let us, I say, take my trusty broomstick here down to London - it won't be that long of a flight - and find ourselves a nice Muggle hotel. Something to spice up the adventure, I say - a place comfortable enough that we won't get spotted in, and then we can have ourselves a ball."
And all in all, it wasn't the worst of Sirius's drunken schemes.
