2 runs at the gym, split in half on this day. I don't have the time to do the math to average out the times, so I'll just list them separately.

Notes:
1. My pace is around 8-9 minutes a mile on the treadmill, 9-10 minutes a mile on the hilly roads, and 10-11 minutes a mile on the Rivanna.
2. I need to stop running on the treadmill because I think it's a relatively poor mental conditioner. Nothing to "tough out." After several days at the gym, I get tired more easily elsewhere, even though I've been running longer and faster overall. So, largely a mental thing. I just like seeing the meter at under 9 minutes a mile I guess.
3. Really glad I didn't sign up for the full M.
4. For the last several months I've hit a wall at around 4 miles, because that is the length and back of my favorite trail, and usually that is exactly when I really need to refuel/hydrate, and for that I end up just going home. It has not stopped all progress, because this trail has 5 or 6 major, long, windy, steep, ass-kicking hills and that left a lot of room for improvement. But I guess I definitely edged into more of a plateau when I latched on to that path. Yesterday I doubled back on the same trail, and other than being a bit bored (1 and a 1/2 hours of running - I ran out of things to think about) it was great.
