I just saw this online, bravo to you all for your efforts. I used to run PFT's all the time. Then I got the news to lay off running for awhile (my knees needed a break) so I stopped running for 2 years. Just now starting back up and feeling good. I just did a PFT on Monday.
According to the men's standards: 2 mile- 17:20= 52 pts P/U- 52= 74 pts S/U- 87= 100 pts
Overall men's score: 226 The running is slowing me down though. I used to run maybe 14 miles a day, and the 2 mile in 15:00 and under. Now, since time off and smoking took it's toll, I'm slowing down. Oh well.
For your own info, you only need 180 to pass the PFT, as long as you get 60% in all 3 categories you will pass. I know people that skated by on that. Aim for the 300 and things will be great. I did 300 at home several times, and during the 2 PFT's at basic I scored on as 300+ and the other at 290. Aim higher and your scores will be even better. Good luck!
Keep up the good work! Being fit is one of the best things in life you can do for yourself!
