Moving on up to the 4th/7th floor
Moving day is just a few days away (Wednesday). Most of the apartment is packed up, save the computers and a few random bits and bobs.
I went up to the new apartment today, and realized exactly how strange the layout in the new complex is. There are two buildings that look connected, but apparently aren't. This leads to crazy apartment and floor numbering that I can't even begin to describe (because I haven't quite figured it out). Let's just say that navigation will be an adventure for a while. Otherwise the new apartment is still lovely.
I also started learning my way around shopping in the new area (North Bethesda/Rockville, MD). While you have to drive everywhere, just about everything I can conceive of really wanting is an easy drive away, from big box stores to little Indian grocers and specialty beer and wine shops.
I'll be very happy when we get to the taking-things-out-of-boxes-and-decorating stage of things. Oh, and the going-to-Pennsic stage.
I'm going to go clean old food out of the fridge and freezer now.
