I feel a little vindicated now that I know I'm not the only one who thinks, "You're a dragon in a human body? Dude, you've got to be joking. PLEASE, TELL ME YOU'RE JOKING!" when I read about Otherkins.
But there's that little voice inside that goes, "Is it really all that strange? Is it just easier to accept people's earnest beliefs in Jesus or Mohammad or Vishnu because they're more numerous than people who earnestly believe they're a reincarnated faerie? Mere popularity CERTAINLY doesn't necessarily mean a belief is more valid".
