We ran out of gas at work this morning.
It was about the end of my shift and a customer came in and insisted that one of our pumps was messed up because it took him 10 minutes to get $10 worth of gas. I got off my register and started on my paperwork and no sooner than I started counting my cash did I hear them mention how it was limiting everyone to $1 of gas. Jennifer ran in the back and checked our gas readings and found out that ALL fuel types were either out or running out.
Thankfully we got a delivery by the time I went to pick up my check, but damn was it bad when I left.
Friendly piece of advise to anyone considering a job at a gas station:
It's not a bad job, but trust me when I say that you do not want to work there when the gas prices get really high (people bitch at you like you personally changed them that way) or there is a possibility of a gas shortage. NOT FUN!
