I'm still at work. I was here on Saturday. I'll be here tomorrow. It's holiday for some. Most of my lab is coming in except the guys who is actually a veteran. So I was wondering.....

I stayed home yesterday in an attempt to play catch up with work and life.

Going for a run
Working on my paper
Doing backgrounds research on projects for my new lab

Well, same as its been I'm behind where I want to be on the the thesis. Two chapters of results are to my second reader and hopefully I can get the other one to her tomorrow. Results ~85% done. Still a few figures short and I may want to do some reorganization of the first chapter when those figures go in but I dropped ~70 pages off at my advisor's last night. I hope to pass at least the second two chapters on by the end of the week to my second reader and if I can give her the whole thing, great ( Read more... )

This is me posting about King and Queens Rapier Championship when I should be doing any of a number of other things including frosting cupcakes for my advisor's birthday which shouldn't really be a a chore and updating my CV because I found two labs/fellowships that I'm going to apply to. Preregged for Pennsic. Skipping out on Roses because I have to much work to do before I go away again for work. Heading to Maine for Microscope boot camp next week. I have a "swim lesson" tonight that I'm looking forward to.

You know its really quiet when I feel guilty for clicking my mouse. I'm proctoring the written qualifying exam. I'm not sure why I decided to do it this year but I figured I could use this time to count cells. I have jpg's on the computer and a program that will mark and count where I click.
