A friend of a friend works at the Palace. We MIGHT be able to sneak in. It's how we got to see Alison Krauss when she recorded her live album about a year and a half ago.
Not certain if you're still around or not. I belong to the breastcancer group you created/mod, and I was really hoping you would delete the offensive posts that are being created right now, as well as lock out the LJ being used to create the posts.
If there's no response to this, I will ask the LJ Team to turn the community over to someone who is able to moderate (it's happened in the past where mods have left/forgotten/abandoned, without making certain someone else could mod a community).
I want to thank you personally for being the first to bring this to my attention. I have removed the person from the community and the deleted the posts. I have been absent from LJ for sometime. I would like to know if you would like to have moderation right to this ocmmunity, because I can not moderate it on a daily basis at this time........
I'd be happy to help monitor the community. I do the same for cancersupport, as the mod there also could no longer moderate. With how weird some folks are getting, I'm always glad to help. (We actually had to lock down membership in cancersupport, and several of us mod/approve requests.)
The speed of your response is amazing, however! It took several of us over a week at the other community to get an answer from the mod there, as well as the situation straightened out.
thank you! i have added you as a moderator. free to adjust the account settings as you see fit. i would have made changes myself as far as reviewing member requests and posts, but when this first started i wanted it to be a place for people to come and feel comfortable and not have any walls up (i.e asking for membership) but unfortunatley LJ has changed a lot over the years and there are insincere people floating around. i don't ever want anyone here to feel offended b/c what most are going though is hard enough and that's why i give quick response to such situations.
anyway, i am babbling on. thank you for your willingness to help out with this community :)
