Music, Multiverse, and Fooood

Local folks, I propose a new game: Who can catch the oldest song being played on "Fresh" 94.7? Today I heard "Jealousy" by Natalie Merchant and yesterday I heard "How Bizarre" by OMC, both of which came out in 1995. That put me in a tie with smittywing, who caught them playing "Wonderwall" the other day, which is also from 1995.

However...smittywing also caught them playing "How Do You Talk To An Angel?" which is apparently from 1992, so she wins this round.

::eyeroll:: I was thinking of sending them an e-mail: "Fresh." You keep using this word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

I should really sit down and play with my Multiverse story a bit this week, if I can find a moment. I've got my (fairly basic) plot, and I'm not worried about getting SGA voices right, but I've never written Miles Vorkosigan (other than a few sentences) before. I need to get myself in a manic mood to write him :D

This afternoon I briefly had a kitchendinah and her Wee Sibling :) Then I picked up Yael and we shlepped up to Tikvat Israel to get the CSA share we're sharing with Jeff and Rachel. (Needless to say, I agreed to this plan because Rachel assured me Jeff would be home in time to pick it up most weeks. And then she called to make sure I was going to be there to pick it up today because "neither of us gets home in time." ::snort::)

I used the rhubarb to make strawberry-rhubarb crumble and OMG it's good. And I used the spring mix and some of the spinach as the base to taco salad. Tomorrow I'm thinking about an asparagus/scallion/spinach quiche. If I remember to go to the store to get a crust.

ETA: You can see Avi's brother Mayer (father of the somewhat deaf child) on the news talking about a prostate cancer vaccine here.
