Shoes, movies, and sleep

Dec 13, 2008 14:35

I totally blame pregnancy and Dr. Isis for my current desire: Yes, I have a desperate desire to go shoe shopping.

Now, here's the thing...I hate shoe shopping. Always have. I don't mind a modicum of clothes shopping, but I don't particularly care about my shoes. ::boggles:: Now, it's not quite as weird as it could be, it's not that I've suddenly developed a desire to wear fancy heels like Dr. Isis (::laughs at image of me in those shoes::), but I do suddenly feel a need for something other than my standard black sneakers and white sneakers.

I own two pairs of cute boots, one black and one brown, and I desperately want to go searching for more like that, as well as some nice loafery kind of things. ::boggles more::

Well, maybe while Yael is in school tomorrow I'll hit a thrift store or two and see if anything jumps out at me. Because this desire has been building for a few days, so I don't think it's going to go away.

Gacked from calliopes_pen, here's a movie meme:

This is the list of the top 100 grossing movies of all time. Bold what you've seen. I've added the twist of striking out movies I never ever want to see and italicizing ones I'd like to see :)

Considering how infrequently I see movies and how few movies I like, I'm shocked how many of these I've seen. Seriously. Shocked.

Since Yael stayed at my in-law's last night, we slept in. And a measure of how tired we were is that we both slept until about 9:45. ::boggles:: Even when Yael doesn't wake me up, I'm usually awake by 7:30 or 8 at the absolute latest. To sleep until nearly 10...yeah, I'm exhausted. And I'm ready to go take a nap even now. But I'm writing my news article for Firefox News and editing for a client. ::yawns:: And I even did a little cleaning.
