Jews and gays and stuff like that (well, not at the same time)

For the record, as I was sitting and waiting for my ENT appointment this afternoon, I looked at the doctor's offices surrounding the atrium. Tell me what is amusing about this picture: Michael Siegel, Stephen and Robert Glaser, Morton Fishman, Steven Hirsch, and [first name forgotten] Provitni.

Why yes, there are at least three Jews and possibly all but the last. I know for a fact that Dr. Siegel (my ENT) is Jewish and I know for a fact that Steven Hirsch is Jewish because he's a member of our synagogue and he was briefly Yael's pediatrician.

I don't know if anyone else is following the case of the poor kids in Florida who are being dragged away from the gay couple who've taken care of them and loved them and want to adopt them. Hell, I shouldn't be following it, because it makes me want to shoot people. If you'd like to read about some of the absolutely idiotic arguments that are being used to try and take these kids away from the only loving family they've known, Ed Brayton's got some extensive quotes here. Be aware that you will be looking for a baseball bat before you're done reading.

I can't even include a quote here, because when I try to find one, I can actually feel my blood pressure skyrocketing. ::hates::

I have a bazillion pictures from Thanksgiving to take off the camera and send around, and two loads of laundry that need to be moved, and I find myself deeply unwilling to get up from this couch, even to get something to drink, although I'm starving. This may be a sign that I need to go to bed. ::goes to take night medications and go to sleep::
