News and comics (but mostly comics)

Next time I read the comments on a news article about vaccinations, would someone please smack me? It's not like I'm going to learn anything useful from 55 comments, of which 42 are idiots with a high school science education saying "IT'S ALL A CONSPIRACY! BIG PHARMA WANTS YOUR MONEY AND IT'S KILLING OUR BABIES!!!" (Well, except that most of those 42 have a much weaker grasp of spelling and punctuation. I just couldn't bring myself to do that.) Also, reading even a few of those 55 comments will lead to my blood pressure rising to seriously unsafe levels. ::smacks own head:: Don't do that, moron.

In other news, I'm mostly caught up with comics. We made a comic run today and I've read Blue Beetle, so I've got my monthly dose of Sheer Awesome. And The Sprirt remains awesome, so that's a good thing. Robin is...uh, interesting? The two issues I picked up weren't bad, per se, but mostly they didn't grab me. I'm not entirely sure what I think about Batman and the Outsiders right now.

I kinda sorta liked the two-part Brave and the Bold story with Supergirl and Raven, even though they wrote Supergirl like a serious idiot. I haven't been buying her book lately, is that really how they're writing Kara these days? Because sheesh, I wouldn't have blamed Raven if she'd strangled her.

Hmm, I think that's pretty much all I bought. Oh, except the newest Tiny Titans for Yael. There are some fabulous jokes for the grownups in this issue. ::snerk:: And I have Fables, but haven't read it yet.

We stopped at Ricky's Rice Bowl for lunch, because I needed protein and veggies, and Avi wasted money by buying Yael an entire fish bowl for herself, despite the fact that even when she's in a good eating mood, she'll barely eat a tenth of that much. ::eyeroll:: Oh money, who needs that anyway? But I got fish and steamed veggies and rice, so how bad can the world be?
