Yes, Avi and I are finally caught up to the latest episode of Avatar and...we'd like more. Now. Right now.
Okay, first of all the "now we must IMPRISON YOU FOREVER... Just kidding!" bit was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. I literally almost fell off my chair laughing.
I also love that Zuko's trying so hard, but he's still arrogant and occasionally a jerk. And Aang may be the Avatar, but he's still a kid. OMG, the characterization and continuity on this show are so fabulous.
And how much do I love that Iroh has also met the dragons. I did wonder about him having killed one, but it's certainly possible that he might have done so in the past, before he learned better. So they fooled me with that up until the end. Which reminds me that even though Avi and I both saw the dragon master thing coming, it was still a way cool scene.
Although there were certainly things I liked about the invasion episodes, I thought they were some of the weakest. But I sure loved seeing all those characters again! Another fabulous continuity thing. Anyway, it was kind of obvious they'd fail and we knew that Azula knew about the invasion, so there wasn't that much suspense, I thought.
But really, a couple of weak episodes in a show this good...not a big deal :D And it got good very fast, with Zuko and his "Why am I so bad at being good?" Heh. And trying to convince them. I like that they didn't just give in and trust him, because who can blame them? And besides, they're all kids! I like that the writers remember that.
Anyway, all of that babbling is to say once again that they can air the rest of Book 3 aaaaany day now. Really. And I suspect that at some point there might be fic, once I'm finished my Remix fic.
::ponders:: I'm not sure what I want to write, but if I can get my writing mojo, I'd like to noodle around on an Iroh fic, or maybe Sokka, since they're my favorites. Although I think it might be fun to write Zuko and Aang training together too :)
