I do not think it means...

Barak's preschool does what a lot of Jewish preschools do. They have a Shabbat Bear that kids get a chance to bring home and celebrate Shabbat with. Then you take some pictures, type up a little story about what the bear did with you, and it gets added to the book.

One thing that I love is that the Shabbat Bear in Barak's class (the same one Yael was in four years ago) is named Dubi Dov Bear. Which means his name is Bear Bear Bear :D

For reasons I cannot possibly explain, everyone in the class who has taken adorable Dubi home with them up until now has written his name as Dooby. Which...I know it's transliterated from Hebrew so I don't know if there's even an official spelling, but...all I can imagine is the little stuffed bear smoking a joint. ::facepalm::

I know they're Conservative Jews and all, but not one of them has ever seen the name Dubi before? Oy vey.

In other news, I'm both ridiculously excited about Thanksgivingukkah and panicked that we're not even close to ready for the 19 people who will sit down at our table in just over a week. But we always pull it together and I'm sure we'll manage it again this year.
