Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. The more it's fucked up, the more it's love, and you amped the fucked up right past 11. I love how lyrical and brutal this is, how there's a whole cosmic epic in the background and of course it doesn't matter, because in the scale of things Sam n Dean is always going to out-epic Milton.

Man, I don't even know--I was thinking about Sam in season four, how he was trying to explain that he had tried everything to get Dean out, and how he had specifically mentioned the Devil's Gate. And I wondered, how hard is it to open it and walk in? I mean, really! Then I thought, but what if he really didn't fail? And then there's Dean, whose first instinct is always to lie for Sam's protection, and I thought, oh.
