I can't help but think about how much of my life I am wasting away everyday. Each day I wake up, go to classes until 4, come back to my dorm and do work for hours, grab dinner, go to the gym and if I have spare moments at midnight I hang with people for an hour before turning in for another night. My life is on repeat, day after day its all the same. It reminds me of the movie Malcom X where we watched this certain scene of Malcom being pulled forward down the sidewalk with a pace that looked like he was on a converor belt. I remember mr. hannigan pausing the movie and telling us that the scene represented life pulling malcom forward, how he just lead each day just like the past one, and how life was jsut pulling him on a steady path of routine. I feel like I am purely wasting my time here. I try so hard for grades that don't reflect my work. I live each day in waste. Take this beautiful day for an example. I have been in class since 1115 and just got out at 430. I am now in my dorm room doing homework that is souly done online keeping me from enjoying this day. If I had the money, I would drop out of school this instant and travel the world. I want to wake up in a new city every day and experience the unknown. I want to go to bed at night not knowing exactly what I am going to do in the morning. I just want to experience the world and learn from it other than from the isolated walls of lecture halls. I feel like I am wasting my good years on something so worthless, especailly if 2012 is true. I would never be more upset knowing that I spent my youth on years of education on nothing. I want to see what's left of the world because god knows how long it willbe here or even how long I will be here. Maybe I will be able to enjoy the next nice day.
